Hello, thank you for your interest in becoming a community broadcaster for BLAST SLAM! To make sure everyone can enjoy streaming the games without any issues, we’ve created this set of guidelines below for you to follow. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
- In-game spectating for the purpose of streaming must be done through DotaTV. Any rebroadcast of any official stream will be considered a violation of copyright, which may lead to action being taken against the channel. This includes any BLAST stream or any official partner streams.
- Any unlicensed broadcast entity that exists across digital or linear platforms are not allowed to act as community broadcasters or utilise the Dota TV platform for the purpose of creating a broadcast. This extends to the employees of such a company.
- Community broadcasts must be non-commercial. For the duration of the broadcast, there must be no brands or sponsors present e.g. overlays, logos, transitions, merchandise, product placement, etc. Streaming platforms and channels must also be free from brands or sponsors e.g. Twitch tiles, banners, broadcast titles etc.
- Streams should follow the title conventions of:
- “Name of event” - “Team A” vs “Team B”
- Eg. BLAST SLAM I - OG vs Team Spirit
- In the information section of your stream there must be a link to:
- The BLAST official stream
- Or
- The official stream in the language that you are broadcasting in
- On top of the 15-minute delay on DotaTV, an additional delay on broadcast must be set at all times. This delay must be set on your streaming platform (Twitch, Youtube etc) or on your broadcast software (OBS, XSplit, etc) as follows:
- 3-minute delay for offline events
- 5-minute delay for online events
- Streams should not feature professional studio production elements, such as multiple broadcasters or streamers operating from a physical studio-style setup.
- BLAST’s values must be upheld at all times on your broadcast. It is the responsibility of the streamer to sustain a positive and professional image of BLAST SLAM events. This is extended to any communications on non-streaming platforms like social media and Discord.
- Community broadcasts must foster a positive and welcoming environment where all viewers feel respected and valued. Any chat functionality should be properly moderated to ensure it remains inclusive and free from harassment, hate speech or inappropriate behavior.
- Viewers should be informed that all opinions, thoughts, and perspectives shared during the stream reflect only the streamer’s personal views and are not associated with the tournament organisers. Additionally, the streamer must not imply or claim any affiliation or representation of BLAST, Valve, or BLAST’s official partners.
BLAST reserves the right to amend or modify the community broadcast guidelines at any time.
