Okay, okay. We had two series in a row with three maps, but Heroic thankfully didn't keep us up too late as they took down FaZe in two.
The Danes started slowly on Nuke, struggling to get off the ground on their T side. TeSeS in particular was struggling in his entry fragging role, but as he got going, so did the rest of Heroic.
A typically strong team performance from Heroic, every player finished with a positive K/D as they won the map 19:16.
jabbi had the chance to close out the map long before overtime, but a solid round from rain on the B retake and the subsequent kept FaZe alive as they showed their best with their backs against the wall.
Unfortunately for the international team, they couldn't keep their comeback momentum going in OT and Heroic swiftly achieved the four rounds required to take the map.
Moving into Heroic's map pick of Inferno, the ball was firmly in their court to take home the series and advance straight to Saturday's semi finals.
stavn, cadiaN, and jabbi all kept up their strong map one performances as the Danish side raced to as 10-5 lead in their CT side. FaZe responded with five in the second half, but a stronger CT showing from Heroic was enough to close out the series 16-10.
karrigan looked frustrated with himself at the end of the map, however broky will be able to take some solace in his own 21-14 performance.
With that loss, FaZe have booked themselves a place in tomorrow's quarter finals where they will face off against Major champions Vitality.
Heroic on the other hand will get a well deserved day of rest, they get to enjoy tomorrow's Counter-Strike to see who they will face on Sunday for a spot in the final.
