With BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023 almost here, it's time to confirm our final teams.
9INE and Movistar Riders have already qualified, joining ENCE who were invited, as well as G2, BIG, and OG, who all fell from BLAST Premier Fall Groups.
Deciding one of the last two teams is the Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters, featuring the likes of MOUZ, ECSTATIC, HAVU, and JANO.
We spoke with tier-two expert GrimyRannarr to get his take on the favourites and underdogs for the event.
Who are the favourites to make it to Fall Showdown?
"Coming into the event, it is crazy to think that MOUZ will not take first place and the qualification. They have most recently made playoffs at ESL Pro League, qualified for the Thunderpick World Championships, and are the only tier-one team at the event.
For them we will not be looking at if they make it, but how they make it."
Who are the underdogs who stand the best chance of upsetting them?
"I think the biggest underdogs are 4160lsk. There have been many Swedish teams over the last year such as Godsent, Young Ninjas and 00Prospects that have not only tried to be the best Swedish team but also contest internationally.
However, the majority of these projects have failed, and have since been pulled apart. But now, with some more experienced players coming together such as Plessen, Robiin, and B0denmaster returning from American this newly formed team that will be signed to an organisation soon is looking like a really fierce underdog."
So, there you have it. 'The only tier one team at the event', GrimyRannarr seems certain MOUZ can make it, but only if the Swedish veterans of 4160lsk don't have something to say it about it first.
