In the aftermath of losing in the final of BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut, a despondent jL told us that he was “feeling a little gutted” with the result.
Typically the happiest man at an event, the loveable Lithuanian looked on the verge of tears, especially because he said that he felt like NAVI “didn’t show up as a team at all.”
“It's sad losing to yourself and not the opposing team. I feel like they didn't play that well and it was us who struggled.”
During the final, NAVI often found themselves trailing big advantages at the start of the maps they lost, but it was the final map of the series that had particularly caused jL distress.
“That round on Nuke where Aleksib had his keyboard crash, that really set us back.
Even though we said on TeamSpeak that it doesn't matter and we should focus on the next round, it still impacted us a lot. We had everything to win that round and it didn't work out, so it's a gutting feeling.”
The Lithuanian continued by saying that the failure to get the ball rolling led to “shaky” starts and “getting pressured by the scoreline”, but he quickly reverted to that point about the Aleksib keyboard bug as he criticised Valve for the current state of CS2 and their lack of action towards providing him with his Major trophy.
“Coming back on the last topic that his keyboard wasn't working, that's a CS2 bug. I hope Valve tries to fix the game as fast as they can and give me the God damn trophy too, it's a little annoying because it's been almost three months."
They've been doing random updates here and there but the boost bug is still alive, the jump bug is still there, and there are so many bugs that are still going. It's unacceptable in pro CS.”
