World-renowned ice cream brand Magnum has partnered with BLAST Premier for the upcoming World Final (13-17 December) in Abu Dhabi - where the world’s eight best Counter-Strike teams will battle it out for an eye-watering $1 million prize pool.
The event partnership between BLAST Premier and the Unilever-owned brand Magnum will see the ice cream brand integrated across the BLAST Premier World Final broadcast online and in-person in the Etihad Arena, with physical and digital branding as well as dedicated broadcast segments.
On top of broadcast integration, Magnum will feature across the BLAST social media channels as well as in-person activations and booths inside and outside the state-of-the-art Etihad Arena with samples for fans to enjoy outside in the Abu Dhabi sun.
This is not the first occasion the ice cream manufacturer has partnered with the global esports tournament series. BLAST Premier and Magnum have previously partnered for three events including Fall Groups 2021 and both Spring and Fall Finals in 2022.
Alexander Lewin, VP of Distribution and Programming for BLAST, said: “We’re delighted to be re-joining forces with Unilever and have the Magnum brand return to the BLAST Premier circuit for its fourth event. It’s exciting to bring one of the world's biggest ice cream manufacturers to our audience inside the Etihad Arena as well as to millions of fans following the action across BLAST’s global broadcast network.”
Aleksander Shibanov, Head of Marketing of Unilever Ice Cream in Arabia “At Magnum we believe that playing is for pleasure, therefore we’re thrilled to be returning to the Counter-Strike esports scene partnering BLAST Premier with our leading ice cream brand Magnum for another exciting event. We can’t wait for the CS community to enjoy Magnum whilst watching the finale to the 2023 season at World Final.”
The BLAST Premier World Final is the last BLAST event of the 2023 calendar year, with eight of the best teams from across the year battling it out in the Etihad Arena in the UAE’s capital. Teams qualified for the event via winning elite events during 2023 or via the “Race to World Final Leaderboard”, where teams accumulated points for their performances across 16 different events in 2023.
