BLAST Premier Fall Final is upon us, and we're looking forward to all the action in the legendary Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
Eight teams will play for the prize pool of $425,000 and a spot in the BLAST Premier World Final in December.
Who is the biggest favourite? Underdog? And what storylines are the most interesting ones going into Fall Final during this time by many called Rostermania due to teams transferring players almost daily?
The sheer amount of roster changes and how this is the first chance to watch them pan out. And we all love to be the first to make a ridiculous claim based off of a limited sample size, don't we? Mezii's fit on Vitality is my favorite to keep a close eye on.
NIP have no expectations coming into this tournament so would be the least likely by most metrics to win it all. I'd love to see them give one of the favorites a scare like they did to FaZe at CAC, taking them into 5 overtimes.
The 3 biggest favorites are FaZe then Cloud9 then Vitality.
Since the release of CS2, the Counter-Strike space has been one big storm, and nobody knows which teams are even going to survive this; now is your chance to find out if your favourite team or players have been defeated by madness or will continue to rise.
I feel like outside of Faze, nobody really knows what to expect, which makes it all the more exciting, it's all underdogs at this point.
I consulted some of the top Scientists in the field, and they all agreed that the top 3 favourites ranked in order were:
Faze
FaZe
FAZE
Counter-Strike returns to Royal Arena for many years in a row and has been stable in the CS calendar. Some of the greatest moments in the history of CSGO took place here, and nothing suggests that won’t be the same in CS2. Who doesn’t remember Fallen turning the place into a library or Heroic finally winning the trophy!
A packed arena in CS2 Will without a doubt be another BLAST!
I consider Astralis to be a big underdog with a lot of fans rooting for them. Their group is very very hard, and their results shaky. Finding success at BLAST and making it to the arena is not on the cards, but essential for Astralis.
FaZe, Vitality, Cloud9. FaZe on a 15-game win streak undisputed the #1 favorite!
I believe most eyes will be on FaZe and the impressive streak they’ve already started. Most teams have made changes coming into Copenhagen and Fall Final is a perfect opportunity to measure themselves with the current best team in the world.
Astralis could play the troublemaker in Copenhagen. Compared to the rest of the playing field they have a roster that has tenure, habits and a defined playstyle. They’re also on home soil and the crowd will be eager to see them succeed.
FaZe are the undeniable favourites. I believe Vitality might be the team to challenge them in the Grand Final at the end of the week-end.
To see all of the new rosters like NAVI, Vitality and Cloud9, as well as some rosters like FaZe which could be potentially the last time and of course the last ever time we will see cadiaN in the Heroic jersey, the man who turned the boos into cheers inside the legendary Royal Arena.
Heroic, from winning it in 2022 to coming in with dupreeh and zyphon as well as a cadiaN that is leaving after this event, a lot of skill, talent and experience on this team, they could come through with some huge upset potential!
FaZe by far, two big CS2 LAN wins and an online as well, they could be going for their third LAN title in CS2 and we still don’t even know if they are going to keep this roster together, we are all just waiting to see what happens but one thing we know they are doing, no matter how long the games go, no matter what rumours are around the team, they WIN!
Fans should be excited for the Fall Final as it's one of the first S tier LAN tournaments that's far enough beyond the swap to CS2 that we get a true test of who will dominate the new game. Will FaZe continue their early dominance in the new title? Will Vitality regain their top shelf form post Zonic? Can NaVi thrive without S1mple? We get to learn all the answers to these questions.
It's got to be Heroic. They've had their roster picked apart by their domestic rival in Astralis.
Their storied captain Cadian is off to a new adventure but back for one last ride, There's no telling what kind of form Zyphon and Dupreeh might bring.
And yet, the stage seems set for a storybook run. One more rally for the Heroic magic in front of the hometown crowd? What could be better?
FaZe. They've been picking up title after title since the swap to the new game and despite rumours of the team being torn apart it doesn't seem to have fazed them, pardon the pun.
I don't know how sustainable this run is in terms of players staying on the roster, but I also don't see it stopping anytime soon while they are here.
