"I'm feeling okay, to be honest" expressed NEKIZ. "I'm not happy, I'm not sad, I'm okay".
paiN were inches from greatness once more, and no matter what NEKIZ says, it must have hurt. The audible sigh just before admitting Monte were "very good" said everything.
"Every time we did something they were hitting us with a counter. Of course, they would have studied us, but it was instant. We tried to do something and they were doing the counter. It was just instant."
Despite taking Anubis off of Monte - for the first time in fifteen games - paiN couldn't convert either of the final two maps.
It was a real shame for a team who have shown pretty consistent improvement over the last few months, but paiN fell just short.
"Yeah for sure, when we won their map pick we thought, "okay, Nuke we're gonna win for sure", not that we started the Nuke game distracted because of it, we were super confident we could win it." NEKIZ took a breath.
"But it was a complete stomp from them".
After getting smacked on Nuke paiN took to Mirage with a chance, but it fell apart on the T side.
"Not really. At the end of our CT side we lost a couple rounds that if we won, and I'm not sure if we won the pistol but if we didn't, it would've been easier. I think it ended 8-7, but in my opinion, it should've ended 10-5 and then we would've won the game."
It's obviously a part of competition that teams leave, but it doesn't get any easier to say goodbye.
paiN put up an excellent showing, and it's a shame that they must leave.
