Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to our first team of the BLASt.tv Paris Major as GamerLegion has eliminated MOUZ 2-0. Christopher "dexter" Nong and co. bow out of the Challengers stage after failing to pick up a single map for this stage.
Making it as far as the semifinals at the previous Major IEM Rio, MOUZ would have been hoping for a better performance here in Paris. Taking on Ninjas in Pyjamas in their opener, Mirage was a struggle from the outset as the European mix went down 11-4 by halftime and could not claw their way back, losing out 16-9 overall.
Facing OG in their 0-1 game, MOUZ would have been hoping for a different matchup considering the fact OG won their last encounter at IEM Katowice. Heading into Ancient, David 'frozen' Čerňanský’s 25-17 stat line was not enough to prevent another loss, losing 16-11 and sending them down to their 0-2 encounter with GamerLegion.
The GamerLegion series was more of the same for MOUZ, despite posting a stronger first half than they did against NiP as they went in at the break down 8-7. Former MOUZ NXT prospect Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek led the way as GamerLegion won Mirage 16-12 before the former MOUZ AWPer Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand put the final nail in the coffin with an 18-9 stat line in a convincing 16-5 win on Overpass.
