Biguzera: We are at the same level as FURIA
paiN have been lurking around top 30-40 for about a year and never seemed to be able to really break into top 20. But the last couple of months have been great for the Brazilian team who go to Paris with a lot of confidence.
The team came in second in the BLAST Spring Showdown in April, and they were an inch from qualifying to the BLAST CSGO Major as Legends, but biguzera and the team lost against FURIA in a close game.
Now the team broke into top-20, and BLAST.tv sat down with team captain biguzera and asked him about the team's preparations for the last CSGO Major in history.
“We’re feeling super good. Everybody in the team is so confident to play against everyone, so we’re feeling good,” biguzera told BLAST.tv.

Photo: Joao FerreirapaiN wasn’t at the last CSGO Major in Brazil, which created “a lot of frustration” for the team, Biguzera told BLAST.tv.
“But now we qualified as 3-0, which was a great result for us. So obviously, we are super happy,” biguzera said.
FURIA was the other team to go 3-0 in the American RMR. As only one Legend spot was up for grabs in the American RMR, the two teams battled it out in a BO3. Furia drew the longest straw in that game.
But biguzera still believes that paiN and Furia are at the same level.
“Maybe we are at the same level as FURIA. They beat us in the last game, but we are at the same level as FURIA," he said.
Wants to make history for Brazil
Photo: Stephanie LindgrenWith paiN’s recent success, people often tend to look at the in-game leader. biguzera says he “feels” super good being an IGL.
“Everything has been happening so fast, and everything has been going well, so I think I’m adapting well into the role. I feel I’m trying to come up with some new ideas and implement them into our games. It seems like it’s working, so I think I have been doing well,” he said.
He added that the team are “just thinking about making it to the Legens stage”. But does the leader still dare to dream about making it all the way to the playoffs?“Yeah, for sure. We are super confident to be there in playoffs and make history for Brazil.”
