Last year, BLAST Premier World Finals 2022 was the culmination of one of the most legendary years of CS:GO to date. As giants battled throughout the year and the titan of FaZe Clan emerged dominant, World finals announced the arrival of a new number one contender in G2.
Although Spring Finals 2023 may still be months away and with our BLAST.tv Paris Major to come before it, it’s time for us to look ahead to World Finals 2023 and invite you to join us once again for a festival of Counter-Strike in Abu Dhabi.
Whilst G2 will be hoping to defend their crown as the kings of the BLAST circuit come December, there’s a long way to go before they even secure their spot to do so.
Unlike our Spring and Fall Finals, places at the event are allotted to the best-performing teams throughout the year. Set to be held in December from the thirteenth to the seventeenth, these are the list of events that will book places at BLAST Premier World Finals 2023:
Starting out with our in-house events, the winners of both BLAST Spring Finals and Fall Finals will guarantee themselves a slot to become champions in Abu Dhabi. The winner of the Paris will join them there, and so too will the winners of the as-yet-unannounced second Major of the year.
The two ESL Pro Leagues will also see spots at World Finals granted, meaning we will know the first team competing at the event by the end of this month.
Finally, the last two spots go to the two so-far unqualified teams with the highest points on our global leaderboard; it’s from this position that G2 won the event in 2022.
●Team Vitality - 2400 points
●G2 Esports - 2400 points
●FaZe - 2400 points
●Natus Vincere - 1800 points
●Heroic - 1800 points
●Astralis - 1800 points
●OG - 800 points
●Complexity - 800 points
●BIG - 800 points
●Team Liquid - 300 points
●Ninjas in Pyjamas - 300 points
●Evil Genuises - 300 points
Unlike our seasonal finals, which both have prize pools of $425,000, World Finals has a prize pool of one million dollars. If you were wondering what you could do with that kind of cash; let us give you some ideas:
You could purchase a million Hershey bars, 10,100 Dewalt drills, two Lamborghini Aventadors, or a single month's rent in Manhattan.
We know what we’d go for; money talks, but nothing talks quite like a 20v cordless drill.
We can’t wait to see which teams will be battling it out in December, but we’re even more excited to invite you to join us for all of the action.
Stay tuned to BLAST.tv for more news and coverage in the run-up to the event.
