If he didn’t become a Counter-Strike pro, he would be baking banana cakes. However, he’s simply too lethal for culinary artistry, so instead, he’s handing out frags for a living.
Today, we’ll get to know better Heroic’s sjuush.
BLAST.tv: What is your first CS memory, and did it back then cross your mind that you would get to where you are now?
sjuush: I think I have two memories. Back when I didn't have a PC, I was at my friend's home and we played something 4v4 and they all called me a cheater. I didn't even have the game but I just completely destroyed them. I was like: “What? Why are you calling me a cheater? I'm just playing. You just suck.”
The other memory is from when I was playing at FACEIT or something, and then one of my friends said: “Why play if you're not playing to get better?” So every single day after that, I just played to get better and not just for fun. I still have fun, but I try to improve myself at the same time.
BLAST.tv: What was the first game you ever played?
sjuush: I think it was League of Legends when I was like 10 or 11 or something, we had LAN parties playing League.
BLAST.tv: Do you remember the first tournament you attended? How did it go?
sjuush: I think it was the King of Nordic, it was an online cup in CS:GO. I played for Denmark and I think we won it five times in a row. We played each Friday and if you won five times in a row, you got a bonus, so it was pretty nice. Back then I wasn’t a pro, so it was a lot of money, all of a sudden just going to school and winning weekly cups.
BLAST.tv: Do you have a funky favourite CS:GO weapon?
sjuush: Actually, I think Bizon. It's a troll weapon, but it feels nice when you kill people with it because it takes so long and needs so many bullets.
BLAST.tv: Besides CS:GO, what other interests or hobbies do you have?
sjuush: From time to time I play League of Legends. previously I played World of Warcraft but I don't have the time for it, so I don't really play it. I've also recently bought Call of Duty for PlayStation, but it’s on PlayStation, so I don't really feel like playing it.
BLAST.tv What is your biggest dream?
sjuush: Definitely winning a Major. We came so close in Rio. Waking up in the morning and having to play a Major Grand Final felt so unrealistic and wild. I don't even know how to explain it, it was such a crazy feeling. So yeah, definitely winning a major and just going to bed after. I want to know how that feels.
BLAST.tv: If you didn't become a pro gamer, what job would you choose?
sjuush: When I was younger I wanted to be a baker, making cakes and stuff. I wanted to be a football player when I was really young, but like growing up I liked baking and wanted to do that.
BLAST.tv: Do you still bake sometimes?
sjuush: I used to a little bit, but not that much anymore. I really liked banana cake.
BLAST.tv: How do you think would your teammates describe you?
sjuush: Calm, friendly, funny troll.
