"They're cheering so much for me and the team. It feels just like home."
Welcome to your new home, GamerLegion. The upper echelons of Counter-Strike. This is where you belong.
GamerLegion smacked Heroic on a deciding map to take a huge step towards possibly the most unlikely Major victory of all time.
After a bit of a wobble on map one where they gave up a 10-5 lead, they settled down and took a close Inferno game despite losing both pistols, and then destroyed Heroic on Mirage.
We cannot believe what we've just seen.
But GamerLegion are - deservedly - in the Grand Final.
GamerLegion had Heroic on the ropes on Ancient but the Danes settled down and took control.
GL cut through the Heroic defence and seemed to know every single set-up Heroic could throw at them before Heroic did.
iM continued his rise to fame with a sensational first half performance, but Heroic recovered to at least get five at the half.
Unfortunately for GamerLegion, the same happened back to them in the second half. Heroic showed their class to fire back with an even better T side. A T side fit for the best team in the world.
GamerLegion picked up just three rounds on their CT side, and two of those came when Heroic were on match point already.
But Inferno was a different story.
It looked like Heroic might run away with it once they won the pistol and quickly ran into a 5-1 lead on their T side.
GamerLegion, though, proved why they are in the Major semi-finals - repelling Heroic executes eight times in a row to win the half.
While they started slow once more in the second half, once iM got rolling they pulled into the lead, backed by an absolutely mental spray transfer from isak to turn a 2v4 into a won round for GamerLegion.
GamerLegion hit 15, but stavn and cadiaN stopped back-to-back A executes leaving GL on a half-buy running into B.
isak, once more, though stood up to be counted as he won possibly the most important clutch he's ever played with another dastardly spray transfer to deny Heroic overtime, and push us to Mirage.
What was the overwhelming emotion at that moment in time for Keoz?
"It was just relief."
So cold.
And then... something magical happened.
GamerLegion absolutely demolished Heroic on Mirage. The type of demolition job you'd never expect from a team like them - not least from a team so new to the big stage.
"Kamil - siuhy - did some insane calling. That's one of the main reasons we took this so comfortably on the T side."
iM put up another superstar, ascension performance as he tore Heroic limb from limb on the T side, putting up 140+ ADR in the first half and ending the game with over a kill per round.
We're... speechless. Or typeless. Or something.
"I'm just... speechless" said an exhausted Keoz to BLAST.tv. Seems we're not the only ones. "Individually I didn't feel like I was playing that good for this best of three."
We hope to play that badly some day.
cadiaN tried to rally his team after a multikill on the pistol and some playful jabs at the camera, but there was no playing around from GamerLegion. They racked up round after round as iM and Keoz both threaded the needle to kill the Short and Connector players to put GamerLegion in a commanding lead.
And the CT half was almost a non-event. GamerLegion, genuinely, outclassed Heroic.
"Even without me playing that good we took down one of the best teams in the world, and that feels amazing."
That's not enough for Keoz - who wants the chance to take down the other big name left in the Major.
"I'm just hoping we play Vitality tomorrow, so the crowd will be absolutely insane."
We're very excited.
