GamerLegion's rise continues.
A ridiculous T side on Overpass moved them into a 10-5 lead that they eventually converted to ensure they will be on the big stage in the Champions Stage.
They were dominant from start to finish and have proven themselves to be more than just a threat, but a genuinely solid team.
They are still yet to lose a best of three at the Major, and it's getting harder and harder to discredit them as a flash-in-the-pan.
It's also difficult to even pick out a single player to highlight; everyone had their moments, and no GamerLegion player went negative on either map.
A true team performance.
"Being top eight at a Major is just... insane" said the usually reserved acoR to BLAST.tv.
"I've been fighting for this for many, many years in CS."
nawwk, on the other hand, wasn't too happy. Who would have guessed.
"I think we all played pretty shit. I feel like we came in nervous and didn't play our game."
It's hard to argue too much - only nawwk ended the series positive, and that was by one kill.
Thankfully, they have another chance tomorrow.
Now this is a juicy one.
If you've got some errands to run tomorrow, do them tonight. Put them off til the day after.
Do not miss FaZe vs NAVI for a spot in the playoffs.
FaZe have battled back from the 0-2 bracket past their bogey team Bad News Eagles and 9INE and now have the unenviable task of cutting down s1mple, and NAVI.
NAVI crumbled against Monte and were humbled - but the wounded predator is the most dangerous.
fnatic will square off with Into the Breach in a game that involves four - yes, four - British players, ensuring that at least one will be in playoffs.
So too will a Dutchman, as both teams feature one.
fnatic held their nerve to eliminate a dejected G2 from contention earlier today, while Into the Breach were on the end of a highlight reel of frags from oSee to fall down.
One would likely expect fnatic to best Into the Breach - especially in a BO3 - but stranger things have happened.
Not least, ITB beating FaZe. At this event.
NIP took out ENCE earlier today in an extremely impressive performance, but now have to face Apeks for qualification.
Apeks have been extremely dangerous here in Paris, but have had some issues with consistency, especially out of jL. He's an X factor for this team, but was completely out of the game against GamerLegion.
NIP have been surprisingly consistent, getting star-level performances from REZ, but Apeks are a tricky opponent who can make it tough for the mercurial entry fragger.
nawwk will, of course, have a shot at taking revenge on the team who replaced him with dev1ce way back when.
"It’ll be great to knock NIP out, it’s karma."
Yeah. nawwk is ready.
