NAVI became the only org to play at every single Major as they smacked FaZe in two maps - in large part thanks to a superb performance from youngster npl.
The teenager has come under scrutiny from some quarters but silenced the doubters with a dominant showing on Inferno, and played his part well on Ancient to seal the victory.
That did leave us without the Vertigo decider we craved - neither team have many recorded matches at all on it, for those uninitiated - but we did get to see a version of NAVI that excites us.
fnatic have been one of the true great orgs in CS:GO, and it only feels right to see them straight into the Legends' Stage at the final CS:GO Major.
B8 and fnatic exchanged map picks with Englishman mezii finally dragging fnatic over the line with 28 in 29 rounds on Ancient - following KRIMZ rolling back the years to power fnatic to a win on Vertigo.
There were mixed fortunes for the other UK hopefuls, as Viperio were eliminated 0-3 by Sprout.
All was looking peachy after map one following a 16-7 victory for Viperio, but Sprout woke up to post back-to-back wins on Ancient and Anubis, dropping just 15 rounds.
Staehr was undoubtedly the man of the series, picking up 46 kills in the two map wins, sparing the international mix's blushes somewhat.
Into The Breach, on the other hand, pulled off a shock win over Virtus.pro on Mirage.
CYPHER once more proved his credentials with a destructive T side, collecting 16 kills as ITB earned double figures, with rallen picking up the slack on the defensive side.
That leaves VP in a tough spot - but you can never count them out, even at 1-2.
OG were pushed to map three by SAW in their elimination game, but eventually cleaned up on Inferno to close out the series.
SAW, sadly, won't be making it to Paris.
Falcons, on the other hand, might be. They were once more impressive as bodyy's 28-10 scoreline moved him to the top of the rating charts in the whole event.
MOUZ were powerless to stop him on both sides of the map - bodyy ended the CT side 13-2, in just nine rounds.
GamerLegion hit back after a first game loss to win in overtime against 1WIN and put themselves in the 2-1 bracket, while Bad News Eagles echoed the same result over Apeks to set up a showdown vs FaZe tomorrow.
