Following the release of Counter-Strike 2, many of the smokes that players knew and relied upon for years in CS:GO have now been changed, and that's left them a little stuck when trying to execute onto bomb sites.
Overpass is no different, but fortunately for you, we happen to be Counter-Strike experts.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at every smoke you need to know on Overpass in Counter-Strike 2.
Counter-Strike 2 is a game of attrition, so knowing this default smoke for A toilets is incredibly important.
Forcing your opponents to take unfavourable fights or to burn utility of their own will give you an advantage in late rounds, and that's why this smoke is perfect. Even more important than that, though, it's essential to gaining map control towards the A Bomb Site.
Without controlling Toilets, the rest of the smokes for A in this article will be worthless.
The lineup for the front Toilets smoke on Overpass in Counter-Strike 2 is incredibly easy. Out of T Spawn, head to the railing on the right side of the stairs up to Fountain.
Once you're at the railing, look up at this spot on the wall and jump throw.
Just like that, you can throw one of the best default smokes on Overpass in CS2.
Now that you have control of Toilets, you're ready to execute onto the A site.
To execute on the A site on Overpass in CS2, you will need two smokes. One for Jump Up, and the other for Bank. Let's start with Jump Up.
To line up for the Jump Up smoke, you'll need to jump on top of the bench outside Toilets like so.
Once you've lined up with the middle of the bench, look up at this part of the lamp above Divider and left-click throw.
Now that you have one-half of the important A execute smokes on Counter-Strike 2's Overpass, let's get to the other half.
To smoke Bank on Overpass in CS2, you'll need to stand against this wall next to the bench outside the Toilets.
Once you're positioned at this wall, turn back towards Divider and line up as follows:
To actually throw the smoke, you will need to jump throw. Once you've done that, you'll have thrown the complete A execute smokes on Overpass in Counter-Strike 2.
Now, how about we learn how to take the B site, too?
Sometimes, defaulting doesn't go to plan; other times, money is low, and you just need a good old B rush.
For the times when going B is all you have left, these Overpass CS2 smokes will see you secure the site with ease with just three smokes.
Thanks to Valve's decision to add the ability to drop your teammate's utility in the latter years of CS:GO, one person can throw two of the smokes in our recommended B execute on CS2.
To line up for them, come to this 'B' Sign in the Short Water.
For Heaven, you then want to look up at this part of the railings and jump throw.
Then switch to the second smoke your teammate will have dropped at your feet and aim at the lights under the overpass as follows:
Once you've lined up, do a simple left-click throw, and you will have thrown your smokes for the B execute on Mirage in CS2. You can also then raise your crosshair slightly and left-click throw flashbangs in the same direction to aid your teammates in attacking the site through Monster.
For the final Overpass B site smoke in CS2, you'll need to be a little further back at the area between T Spawn and Monster.
For the exact positioning, come to the location shown at the bottom of the stairs up to Fountain.
Once there, look up at this portion of the train bridge and jump throw.
This Overpass CS2 smoke is exceptionally good on full save rounds where you can only afford small pieces of utility like a smoke and flashbangs. Throw the smoke and the flashes, and make sure your teammate dives for the middle of the smoke to get the extra money from the bomb being planted.
